The Wenax Stylus Pod Kit is the latest pod AIO from the popular manufacture Geekvape. It is a simple but substantial little device with a 1100mAh built-in battery. The Wenax Stylus is marketed as being an ultra-portable and smart device. It is designed with airy MTL draw best suited for use with medium to high VG e-liquids or nic salts. It comes with one pod that has a 2ml capacity and takes replaceable G.Coils. This is not a really fancy pod vape. It is pretty basic with button or draw activated firing mechanism and constant power outputs but that can be a bonus for people who want a flavorsome, hassle-free, and lightweight device.
Geekvape have been knocking out some quality pod kits in 2020. I have tested the Aegis pod and it reaches the giddy heights of that pod vape’s solid performance and flavor. The Wenax Stylus is the lightest and smallest device from Geekvape. My expectation was rather high. Let’s see if this is an obvious choice for you.

Build Quality and Design of Geekvape Wenax Stylus
The Wenax Stylus comes with six colors and I received the green edition. The first thing I noticed when I took one out of the box is how small it is. Measuring at 18.5mm x 42.5mm, it’s got a cylindric-like form and it slips into the pocket easily. No issues with the build quality. The body is made of aluminum alloy with a smooth satin finish, very nicely done and lightweight but solid in the hand. The colors are very vibrant. The logos are very tastefully done. Each side of the device has a small airflow hole. The regular micro USB port is located on one side of the device. The power button is at the bottom of the battery. It is nicely responsive and clicky. The LED light around the button indicates the different power levels.
The pod bay has 2 gold-plated connector pins. I have not noticed any drop of e-liquid in here at all and no leaks so far. The pod is nicely made and snap into the battery with a click. There is no move or wiggle during testing. The pod holds 2ml of e-liquid and is dark-tinted. Half of the pod is concealed within the battery part. You have to take it out from the battery to view the juice level, which is a con for me. I just want to quickly check the e-liquid level. The filling port is on the side of the pod. The good side of the filling system is that it is simple and less likely to leak since the filling port is large and firmly sealed. The coil is pre-installed and features a simple press-fit design. The problem that I have with this design is that it’s hard to change the coil. I struggle to pull out the expiry coil for a while. You would better to use a coil removal tool. It is just so stiff. The round mouthpiece is replaceable. It fits my lips comfortably.
Getting Started: Vaping the Geekvape Wenax Stylus
The Geekvape Wenax Stylus is a very simple and beginner-friendly device. The battery life is 1100mAh which can last for two days with moderate use. In total, I have been able to get through almost 4 pod fills before needing to charge the battery. The charging port is on the top of the battery. It is a standard micro USB port. I prefer USB-C. You should fully charge the battery before using. Installing and removing the pod cartridge is a breeze. Filling is also pretty simple. The rubber plug is easily removed and the fill port is plenty big enough. I did try to fill with standard 60ml shortfill bottle and there were no airlock issues.
To fire the Geekvape Wenax Stylus you can use the draw-activated option or the power button. The kit comes with two G.Coils - a 0.6ohm Kanthal mesh coil and a 1.2ohm regular coil. The two coils are also compatible with the Aegis Pod kit. There are different output options depending on the coil installed and the firing method you use. You can change the power level using the power button on the bottom. The LED light surrounding the power button changes color according to which level is selected.
Three Power Modes:
- Draw-activated firing: 14W-15W-16W with 0.6ohm coil
- Draw-activated firing: 9W-10W-11W with 1.2ohm coil
- Button-activated firing: 16W with 0.6ohm coil / 11W with 1.2ohm coil
LED Indicator:
- Low power: white LED
- Medium power: blue LED
- High power: green LED
How to Change the Coils and Fill the Pods:
- Take the pod out of the battery section
- Use the coil removal tool to remove the expiry coil
- Drip 4-5 drops of vape juice inside the new coil
- Insert the new coil into the pod
- Pull the rubber plug and fill the pod
- Put back the pod onto the battery
- Leave the Wenax Stylus aside for 5 minutes to get the coil saturated
Performance of Geekvape Wenax Stylus
The Wenax Stylus is a low-output vape device, it is primarily made for MTL users. So I recommend you to use lower VG vape juice and nic salts. I am using the strawberry flavor e-liquid.
0.6ohm Kanthal Mesh Coil:
The 0.6ohm Kanthal mesh was the coil I tried first as it was already installed in the pod. I left it to stand for 20min and my first vape was surprisingly beautiful! A very refreshing draw with a crisp fragrant strawberry taste. The more I vaped on this the more juicy sugary strawberry juice flood on my tongue. I must say I love the refreshing and lovely smell. As expected Geekvape hasn’t let me down with the flavor at all! The vapor is massive and cloudy. Very satisfying!
1.2ohm Regular Coil:
Using the same e-liquid as with the 0.6ohm mesh coil there was a noticeable difference in the experience. The flavor was still very crispy and beautiful! The throat hit was solid and the taste is more concentrated. The vapor production is lessened compared to the 0.6ohm coil, which can be expected. Both of the coils are beauties but for me, I like the throat hit and cooler vape so I found the 1.2ohm coil is better.
Geekvape Wenax Stylus Kit Review
The Geekvape Wenax Stylus Pod Kit is a well-built vape and is perfect for beginners. The G.Coils provide amazing flavors and quality vapor. It excels more performance and flavor than it does in design. It provides more flavor than most of pod vapes on the market. I have to admit I am not down with the cylindrical shape. I prefer a more flat design like Uwell Caliburn. I don’t know the point of the button position. It is inconvenient for a button-activated draw. I don’t think it’s a wise choice to sacrifice the usability for aesthetics. So I use it only as an auto-draw device.
The flavor and vapor are satisfying. The 1.2ohm coil provides a solid throat hit and a true MTL-style draw. I totally love it for its strong and pure taste! I have no complaint about performance. Geekvape always did well in that. If you are making the switch from smoking, you should consider this device. How do you feel about the Geekvape Wenax Stylus? Leave a comment below.
