Founded in 2015, Vaporesso is one of the most recognizable brands in the vape industry. Today I’m going to take a look at their Degree 30w pod kit. Powered by a 950mAh rechargeable battery, it features an adjustable output range between 5 - 30W. Compatible with the 0.6ohm mesh coil pod and a 1.3ohm CCELL coil, it delivers delicious clouds and decent flavours. How does this sleek kit perform? Let’s take a look at it!

Build Quality and Design
The Vaporesso Degree comes with a nice looking box shape. It stands approximately at 90.5mm by 41.5mm by 16.5mm and weighs at roughly 130g. It comes with a durable zinc-alloy chassis construction that offers a very solid feel in the hands. There is a swirly resin panel inlay on one side of the device. The front panel is available in five vibrant and attractive designs.
On the top, the Vaporesso Degree is paired with a non-removable drip tip. The mouthpiece is very comfortable to use and works well to provide an enjoyable vaping experience. There is an airflow control ring that integrates into the base that consists of two wide slots. The airflow can be adjusted from a fairly loose MTL to a fairly restricted DTL as it’s dual airflow. It is still a pretty loose draw when closed nearly all the way.
Below the drip tip, there is a small hole that allows you to access the push-to-fill port of the pod. To check the juice level, I have to remove the back panel. But there is no need to take out the pod to refill. I never had leaking happen.
The Vaporesso Degree has a large fire button and two smaller adjustment buttons. All buttons come with good quality and a satisfying click. It also features a small black and white OLED screen, which clearly displays the set wattage, a puff counter and resistance. The screen is vibrant, crisp and bright enough even under the sunlight.
Vaporesso Degree Button Combinations
- Turn On/ Off: 5 clicks of the FIRE button
- Lock the Adjustment Buttons: 3 clicks of the FIRE button.
- Reset Puff Counter: press both adjustment buttons.
- Flip Screen Orientation: press the fire and top adjustment button.

Functions and Features
Equipped with the latest Axon chipset, the Degreedelivers an instant firing. It is activated with almost no delay when I press the fire button. It also boasts the Pulse mode, which pulses the wattage every 0.02 seconds for “more powerful, flavorful clouds with every puff”. The Vaporesso Degree comes with an adjustable wattage between 5 - 30W. When the e-juice in your pod is at a low level, the screen will show a message to reminds you to refill in time.
The Vaporesso Degree adopts the “Auto Temperature Control” mode to protect the coils from burn hit. You can press the power button and down button to set the sensitivity of the dry hit protection. This bar goes from 1- 10 and I kept my dry hit sensitivity set to 7. This function works really well as I had never experienced a dry hit from the pods.

Pod
The Vaporesso Degree comes with 2 pods, a 0.6ohm mesh pod rated for 16-22W and a 1.3ohm CCELL pod rated for 7-12.5W. when the pod is inserted into the device, it can automatically detect the pod and sets the default wattage accordingly, 20W for the 0.6ohm pod and 10W for the 1.3ohm pod. Both pods have wattage limitations: 2W for the 0.6ohm pod and 12.5W for the 1.3ohm pod. The pod is capable of holding 2ml of e-liquid. It uses a push-to-fill system, which features leak-proof. It works well as you don’t have to remove the pod to refill.
The Vaporesso Degree has an airflow adjustment ring on the drip tip, allowing you to switch vaping between a restricted DTL and a very tight MTL draw. The 1.3ohm CCELL pod performs better with nicotine salts and delivers a slightly restricted airflow than the 0.6ohm pod. The 0.6ohm pod works well with the regular nicotine e-juices, you can get a very tight MTL draw by fully closing the airflow.

Battery and Charging
The Vaporesso Degree integrates with a decent 950mAh battery. It can last about 2 days when using the 1.3ohm pod at 12.5W and last a day and a half when using the 0.6ohm pod at 22W. The Degree has a battery indicator on the screen, which clearly indicates the battery level. When the battery is at a low level, the battery icon will become depleted. In my test, it takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to fully charge the device.
