Build Quality and Design

VOOPOO V.THRU Pro is an ultra-compact and good looking device. It stands approximately at 95.5mm by 28.5mm by 14.9mm and comes with a super lightweight of only 44g. The chassis is made of durable aluminium alloy that feels comfortable in the hands. It boasts various safety features to protect the device, such as short-circuit protection, reverse airflow protection, over-discharge protection, output over current protection, overcharge protection and overtime protection.

VOOPOO V.THRU Pro is available in plentiful colours. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and it has no scratched and scuffed on the body. It has a tiny 0.69inch OLED display screen, clearly showing the current vaping information, such as the puff counter, duration of each puff, current power, coil resistance etc. Above the screen, there is a small button that feels solid and clicky.

Features

VOOPOO V.THRU Pro features a draw-activated firing mechanism. It is very easy to use, you can simply press the power button 5 times to turn on the screen, then click the button five times to enter the menu. You will see the following options: puff counter clear, turn off the device, lock/ unlock. I take the lock function as a con from a safety perspective and it is nice for those vapers who have children. It is an effective way to prevent children from accidentally starting. Equiped with the renowned GENE chipset, the V.THRU Pro provides a constant output voltage to ensure consistent atomization of nicotine salt, offering a fresh and pure flavour experience.

Pod

VOOPOO V.THRU Pro is paired with a 3mL pod, which is refilled via a bottom fill port. It features a fixed coil so that you need to replace the whole pod. The pod features a magnetic suction, buckle double reinforcement, and a super-easy groove clasp design, making the insertion and removal of the pod easier. It also utilizes an independent and one-way condensate to prevent leaking. The kit comes with two coil options, a 0.7ohm mesh coil and a 1.2ohm regular coil.

Performance

I tested the 0.7ohm mesh coil with a 70/30 vape juice. The device will automatically detect the coil resistance and set the wattage to 18w when the coil is installed. This coil produces a full and tasty flavour. You can get a tight DTL, DTL or a very airy MTL from this pod. The vapour production is excellent for such a tiny device. The coil can last about one week when used at around 21W.

I used the 1.2ohm coil with 10mg nic salts. When changing the pod to a 1.2ohm coil, the device will automatically set to 12 watts. The mouthpiece is very comfortable to use. The 1.2 coil delivers a very rich and medium MTL draw. This coil features a maximum wattage of 15w and I found it performs the best at 12w. The coil can last about eight days before the flavour become muted.

Battery and Charging

Powered by an integrated 900mAh rechargeable battery, the VOOPOO V.THRU features a wattage output range between 5 to 25W. It uses a fast Type-C charging with a 5V/1A charging rate. It can last a whole day even using it at higher power.

VOOPOO V.THRU Pro is a sleek refillable pod system. It delivers a nice auto draw with no gurgling and offers a medium restricted airflow. Integrated with a 900mAh battery, it can last a full day to provide a stable vaping performance. I enjoy the flavour and cloud production from the 1.2ohm coil and impressed by the nice loose MTL draw from the 0.7ohm coil.
