Recently, SMOK released the Novo 2 which is an updated version of their compact pod devices. The question on everyone’s lips, however, is whether the updates to the Novo 2 is worth the update to the price. How It Looks
With the Novo, the designs were the same cobra pattern that SMOK had been running with for about a year and while the design was great and helped to represent the unity of the brand, it was getting really old and personally, I was simply tired of the cobra look.
With the Novo 2, SMOK brought back the resin design and let me assure you, I was very happy to see it for more than one reason. The Novo 2 designs sport a 7 color resin pattern variety which also comes with a 7 color Pollock-Esque splatter design. What got me was the fact that the metal alloy frame it comes with is also designed to match the resin design of the pod. It is still the same size as the Novo and is perfect for when you are on the go. It also includes draw-activated firing which means that it sports no buttons on the body just a single LED light which shows the battery level of the device while it is in use. Is that not so much more than you would regularly get?

The operation of Novo 2 is one of the best. It sports the same great coils as can be found in the Trinity Alpha and the Nord pods. It also has newer designed coils that have been specifically built into the upgrade. With this upgrade, one can say that SMOK has put itself ahead of the pod game by releasing a variety of coils that any vaper can appeal to. With a range from 0.8Ω to 1.5Ω, there is a pod for every vapers preference. What’s more, they even introduced a new DUAL COIL 1.4Ω pod. There is also the rumored pod with Quartz coil for CBD concentrates and infused juices.
The battery life is not exempted from this upgrade. The Novo 2 internal battery has been upgraded to an incredibly massive 800mAh. Let me just say this, the new Novo 2 pod device has been a delight to use and if you are in the market for or even thinking about purchasing a new pod device, you should be looking at the Novo 2. It is perfect for all categories of vapers from newbies to veterans and in-between. Sporting a 2ml capacity pod and the incredible internal battery that is 800mAh, as well as the newly designed pod coils made specifically to work perfectly with nic salt, finding a better and sturdier pod device would indeed be a chore.
